In 2009, our CTO Chris led R&D at a robotics company specializing in broadcast-grade robotic cranes. For three years, he worked to introduce this cutting-edge technology to the Chinese market—but at the time, the industry wasn’t ready. Automation was still a foreign concept, and the venture ultimately closed.
Undeterred, Chris and co-founder Jack saw the future of robotic camera systems. In 2015, they launched MJ Robot Tracking—just as the world began embracing automation, virtual production, and AI-driven cinematography.
Over the past decade, we’ve grown alongside these technological revolutions, from the rise of the metaverse to the demand for precision camera robotics in studios, education, and virtual sets. Today, MJ Robot stands as a trusted innovator, backed by deep industry expertise and a network of partners who share our vision for the future of motion control.
